A Spring in the Steps of Buyers
Saturday April 13th was declared the official first day of Spring of 2013 at Hartleys in Ilkley, West Yorkshire, as a total of over £92,000 was achieved for the twice yearly toys and collectors sale.
A Snow Dominated Spring Sale
“Braaq” was once again the buzz word at Hartleys quarterly Fine Sale on March 27th. As winter and snow stuck stubbornly like a limpet to what was laughingly named “the Spring Sale”, six examples of Brian Shields work took £62,000 or over a fifth of the sale total of £282,000.
POSITIVE - EITHER WAY
At Hartleys sale in Ilkley on December 12th, items either sold, often very well, or there was virtually no interest at all. The resultant total of £276,000 included 25% by lot bought in, but also produced some notable results.
